United with the Blue 5K in Lake Mary, Florida

Ran in the United with the Blue 5k this morning, put on by friends Carrie and David. Well run event supporting law enforcement with several police and sheriff teams competing. I finished first out of four in 70-74 due to my chasing a guy I thought was in my age group (he won 65-69). It was 52'f when I arrived so I had all my cold-run accessories with me but by the 8:00 AM start and full sun on the course I left them in the van. Awards were accompanied by Tonka, the Front Running Sports mascot. Mission BBQ served food from their 2 1/2 ton truck!
